SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — Notre Dame sophomore Cam Biedschied plans to sit out the 2013-14 season to preserve a year of eligibility.
Sports information director Bernie Cafarelli said Friday that coach Mike Brey and Biedscheid would talk about the decision after Friday night’s game between the 21st-ranked Irish and Miami of Ohio. Biedscheid had sat out Notre Dame’s two preseason games while considering the decision.
The 6-7 Biedscheid is from St. Louis and played in all but one game last season, when he was suspended for a fight with St. John’s Sir’Dominic Pointer, and averaged 17 minutes and 6.2 points a game.
