OREM, Utah (AP) — Zach Nelson scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for a double-double on Friday night to help Utah Valley beat IUPUI 74-66.

Holton Hunsaker led the Wolverines with 18 points, including a pair of first-half free throws that gave Utah Valley a 12-11 lead that they never relinquished despite numerous comeback efforts by the Jaguars. Keawe Enos added 14 points, including a 3-pointer, and was 4 of 6 from the field.

Mitch Patton paced IUPUI with a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds. Ian Chiles scored 14 points and Marcellus Barksdale added 10.

The Jaguars narrowed the lead to four points on four occasions but their comeback efforts were answered by buckets by Wolverines, including free throws by Nelson and Hunsaker in the stretch. Utah Valley hit 25 of 28 free throws, while IUPUI was 19 of 27.
