Letter: Name recognition is advantage

It’s interesting to note that it appears that in any of the district/position races where an existing or past publicly known figure ran, they won. This despite the fact that virtually none of the “known” candidates attended programs nor spent much time or effort running for the position. This suggests that voters want the old guard calling the shots for the future.

Toss in endorsements from the Democratic Party and Southwest Washington Central Labor Council and you have a partisan election of known quantities.
