A motorcyclist was injured Saturday in a crash with a car on Highway 99 in Vancouver, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

The crash occurred about 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 99 and Northeast Ross Street, said VPD Sgt. Kevin Hatley.

Hatley said the motorcyclist was riding north on Highway 99 when his motorcycle crashed into a southbound Chevrolet Monte Carlo as the car turned left from Highway 99 onto Northeast Ross Street.

The motorcyclist, identified only as an adult male, was transported to a hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening. The driver of the Monte Carlo and his two passengers were not injured, Hatley said.

Alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. Hatley said witnesses reported seeing the motorcycle run a red light.
