DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — R.J. Harris had 183 yards receiving and scored three touchdowns as New Hampshire held off James Madison for a 33-17 victory Saturday.

The Wildcats (5-4, 4-2 Colonial Athletic Association) took an early lead when Andy Vailas threw an 18-yard touchdown to Harris. Running back Nico Steriti completed a 52-yard strike to Harris to give New Hampshire a 14-0 lead at half.

The Dukes (6-4, 3-3) used some trickery of their own to get back in the game as running back Dae’Quan Scott hit Quintin Hunter for a 69-yard score. Michael Birdsong later found Hunter for a 3-yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter to pull within 3.

New Hampshire responded with Harris hauling a seven-yard score from Vailas. Following a missed field goal by James Madison, the Wildcats drove 79 yards in eight plays with Chris Setian punching in a three-yard touchdown to put the game out of reach.
