CHICAGO (AP) — Cleveland coach Mike Brown has inserted Andrew Bynum into the Cavaliers’ lineup for Monday night’s game against the Chicago Bulls.

Anderson Varejao was the starter at center when the lineup came out about a half-hour before the game, but Bynum instead made his first start since April 22, 2012, for the Lakers against Oklahoma City.

Bynum missed all of last season with Philadelphia due to surgery on both knees and signed with Cleveland in July. The 7-footer is averaging 5.2 points in five games with the Cavs.

The rest of Cleveland’s lineup remained the same. Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters started at guard, with Alonzo Gee and Tristan Thompson joining Bynum in the front court.
