NC Central dominates Johnson & Wales (NC) 98-47

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Jordan Parks scored 22 points and pulled down a 15 rebounds as NC Central throttled Johnson & Wales (NC) for 98-47 win Monday night.

Jay Copeland added 15 points and 10 rebounds while Jeremy Ingram added 21 points and seven rebounds in a game that was never really close.

The Eagles (1-1) jumped out to a 54-21 halftime lead by shooting a blistering 59.4 percent (19 of 32) while holding the Wildcats, a Division II school, to just 22.6 percent shooting (7-31). NC Central cruised to the victory while scoring 60 points in the paint.

Senior Emanuel Chapman broke the NC Central record for career assists, totaling seven for the night and pushing his career total to 410.

Nick Crawford led the Wildcats, scoring 14 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. He was the only Johnson & Wales player to reach double figures.
