YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) — Karrington Ward scored a game-high 17 points and Eastern Michigan pounded Concordia 95-50 on Tuesday night.
Ward led five Eagles in double figures, as Eastern Michigan (2-0) shot 55.4 percent from the field and connected on 7-of-11 3-pointers in the rout.
After an early 3-pointer from Josh Fugate brought Concordia within 6-5 early in the game, the Eagles scored 29 unanswered points. Concordia was unable to recover, trailing by double digits for the remainder of the contest.
Glenn Bryant scored 14 while Ray Lee and Darell Combs scored 12 points apiece for the Eagles. Mike Talley added 10 points and seven assists.
