Idaho defeats Northwest Nazarene 78-64

MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) — Connor Hill scored 13 of his game-high 22 points in the second half as the Idaho Vandals gradually pulled away to a 78-64 victory over Northwest Nazarene Saturday night.

The Vandals (2-1) led 36-30 at the end of the first half behind junior transfer Bira Seck of Senegal, who scored all of his 14 points by the break.

The Vandals went up 52-41 on Hill’s layup with 10:42 remaining and their lead wouldn’t dip under double figures the rest of the way.

Stephen Madison added 16 points for the Vandals, who shot 51.9 percent from the field.

Northwest Nazarene was led by Kevin Rima with 20 points, 18 in the second half. Mario Donaldson kept the Crusaders in the game in the first half with 15 of his 17 points.

The game counted as an exhibition for the Division II Crusaders of Nampa, Idaho.
