LOS ANGELES (AP) — Clippers coach Doc Rivers has met with Lamar Odom, who is currently out of the NBA.

Rivers and Odom talked Friday at the team’s practice facility. Odom averaged a career-low 4.0 points and 5.9 rebounds last season with the franchise. He became a free agent last summer and wasn’t signed by any team.

The Clippers have 14 players on their roster, leaving them one short of the maximum of 15.

Rivers said Saturday he’s always had an interest in Odom and that he wanted to see how the 6-foot-10 forward looked. Rivers says Odom “looked great,” but that it doesn’t mean a lot.

Odom was arrested on a DUI charge in August and there have been reports of a tumultuous personal life in recent months.
