CSU Bakersfield beats Nevada 74-66

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (AP) — Issiah Grayson had 15 points and six assists on Monday night and Cal State Bakersfield led the entire second half to defeat Nevada 74-66.

The Runners (3-1) led 38-30 at half and allowed a 6-0 run by the Wolfpack to cut the lead to 38-36. Bakersfield answered with a 17-6 run to take their largest lead of the game at 55-42 with 11:51 left. The Runners would lead by 13 again with 7:21 to go in the game.

The Wolfpack (2-2) entered the game with two straight road victories in which they rallied from double-digit deficits, but were unable to get closer than 72-66 with a minute to play.

Abdul Ahmed finished with 14 points, Tyrell Corbin had 13 and Erik Kenney had 11 for Bakersfield.

Deonte Burton scored 24 points for Nevada, but committed five turnovers. Cole Huff added 12 points for the Wolfpack.
