CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Nets coach Jason Kidd says veteran point guard Deron Williams will play Wednesday night against the Charlotte Bobcats.

Williams has missed the past two games with a sprained ankle.

Kidd says “it will be good to get him going.”

The Nets won’t go straight to Williams, but Kidd says they’ll “let him get his energy back and let him get up and down the court a bit first. Once he gets going, we want him to be aggressive and set the tone.”

Brook Lopez and Andrei Kirilenko remain out for the Nets. The Nets enter the game with a 3-7 record.

Charlotte coach Steve Clifford says center Al Jefferson remains out with an ankle injury, but hopes to get him back for Friday night against Phoenix.
