Wounded warriors get financial help

Brush Prairie — The Prairie High School community chipped in during a Veterans Day assembly for injured veterans, dropping $527 into collection buckets passed around the audience. The school’s Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps has a goal of raising $1,000 by Nov. 22 for the Wounded Warrior Project. The money will go to local military members who were wounded in battle as well as families who lost a parent in war.
