Youngstown St. routs Thiel College 82-58

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) — Kamren Belin scored 13 points as six Youngstown State players scored in double figures in an 82-58 rout of Thiel College on Wednesday night.

After Thiel College scored the game’s first basket, Youngstown State (5-1) scored the next 20 points to take a 20-2 lead. The Penguins led 49-28 at halftime and by as many as 35 in the second half.

Shawn Amiker had 12 points for Youngstown State in just 13 minutes of play. Ryan Weber and DJ Cole added 11 apiece, and Bobby Hain and Kendrick Perry each had 10 for the Penguins. Youngstown State shot 49.2 percent from the field and outrebounded Thiel 43-29.

Eric Mallinger had 15 points and nine rebounds for Thiel.
