LSU defeats SE Louisiana 89-66

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Johnny O’Bryant scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as LSU defeated Southeastern Louisiana 89-66 in a non-conference game Friday.

O’Bryant, who registered the 20th double-double of his career, was 4-of-8 from the field and made 10 of 12 free throw attempts. The 10 made foul shots matched his career high.

Four other players scored in double figures for the Tigers (3-1). Freshman Jordan Mickey had 17 points to go along with five blocked shots. Andre Stringer finished with 12 points, all in the first half. Both Anthony Hickey and Shavon Coleman, who came off the bench, had 10 points.

Onochie Ochie was the top scorer for the Lions (2-2) with 17 points. Julian Chiera added 13 points, while Joshua Filmore had 10. JaMichael Hawkins, who was averaging 18 points per game for SLU, was limited to two points. Hawkins was 0-for-6 from the field.
