ITHACA, N.Y. (AP) — Imoh Silas scored 17 points, including the game-winning basket with 6 seconds left, and grabbed 14 rebounds as Siena rallied to beat Cornell 71-70 Friday night.

After Evan Hymes’ layup with :26 remaining pulled Siena (1-3) within one point, 69-70, Rob Poole fouled Nolan Cressler. Cressler, who scored a game-high 25 points and came into the game having made 7 of 9 free throws this season, missed both foul shots. Lavon Long pulled down the rebound for the Saints and, following a missed layup by Marquis Wright, Silas grabbed the offensive board and scored what would prove to be the game-winning bucket.

Dwight Tarwater’s 3-point shot with :01 left was off target for Cornell (0-6).

Siena led by as many as 11 points in the first half and took a 43-37 lead into the break.

Cornell opened the second half with a 19-3 run and led 67-57 with 4:46 remaining.
