LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Riley Grabau scored a career-high 20 points and Derek Cooke Jr. notched his second career double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds to pace Wyoming to a 70-53 win over South Dakota on Friday night.

Jerron Granberry added 12 points for Wyoming (4-1), which led for all but 14 seconds.

South Dakota (0-3) was paced by Brandon Bos with 12 points and Tavian Pomlee with 10. The Coyotes shot 25 percent from long range (6 of 24) and 32 percent overall. Wyoming shot 50 percent, including 53 percent from 3-point land (9 of 17).

South Dakota trimmed an 18-point deficit to seven after a putback by Trevor Gruis early in the second half. The Coyotes would draw no closer as the Cowboys stretched the lead to 50-37 after a 3-pointer by Granberry, then went up 67-45 after a layup by Cooke with 2:29 to play.
