Rush, Davis lead Central Michigan over UMass 37-0

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) — Cooper Rush threw two touchdowns passes to Titus Davis to lead Central Michigan over Massachusetts 37-0 Saturday.

Rush hit Davis with TD passes of 34 and 30 yards. The Central Michigan (5-6, 4-3 Mid-American) defense forced three A.J. Doyle interceptions and recovered one fumble while earning its first shutout of the season. Rush was 13 of 21 for 231 yards passing. Davis finished with seven receptions for 154 yards.

Zurlon Tipton rushed for a 3-yard touchdown to open the scoring. Tony Annese had a 34-yard interception return for a touchdown. Ron Coluzzi was perfect from field goal range, making kicks of 33, 33 and 24 yards.

UMass (1-10, 1-6) was held to 169 yards of total offense. The Minutemen now have a six-game losing streak, and have been shut out twice this season. Shadrach Abrokwah led with 20 carries for 93 yards, including a 31-yard carry.
