Georgia Tech edges North Carolina A&T 78-71

ATLANTA (AP) — Trae Golden scored 12 of his game-high 20 points in the second half Sunday, when Georgia Tech rallied from an 11-point halftime deficit to beat North Carolina A&T 78-71.

Georgia Tech (4-1) trailed 37-33 at halftime after missing 10 of 18 free throws, and the Yellow Jackets fell behind 45-36 in the second half when Denzel Keys put back an offensive rebound with 13:43 left in the game.

After a Tech timeout, the Jackets went on a 14-3 run to force the first of four ties, and the home team closed the game with a 17-5 run to win.

Richaud Pack led the Aggies with 19 points, and Bruce Beckford added 12 points and 11 rebounds. Golden added seven assists for the Jackets while sophomore swingman Marcus Georges-Hunt had 16 points and seven rebounds, and sophomore forward Robert Carter Jr. had nine points and 13 rebounds.
