Morehead State holds off Nevada 63-58

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Angelo Warner scored 15 points and Chad Posthumus added 10 with 16 rebounds as Morehead State outlasted Nevada 63-58 Sunday.

With the score tied at 46, Morehead State (5-2) used an 8-1 run sparked by two baskets from Posthumus to give the Eagles their largest lead of the game.

The Wolf Pack (3-3) looked to climb back as Deonte Burton hit a 3-pointer to cut the deficit to two. After a Warner layup, Burton hit another triple to make the score 58-57 with 1:04 remaining.

Bakari Turner and Kareem Storey each hit a pair of free throws to seal the win for the Eagles.

Drew Kelly finished with 13 points and Storey had eight rebounds and four assists for Morehead State.

Burton paced Nevada with a game-high 19 points and was 3 of 6 beyond the arc. Jerry Evans Jr. had 11 points and seven rebounds.
