A Battle Ground man sustained minor injuries in a three-vehicle fender bender on state Highway 503 Monday morning.

Three pickups were driving south on 117th Avenue at Fourth Plain Road when one of the vehicles, a Toyota Tacoma pickup, crashed into a Ford Ranger pickup that had stopped abruptly, according to Washington State Patrol. The Ranger was then pushed into a Chevrolet Silverado pickup, according to a crash memo sent out by the agency. The incident was reported at 8:54 a.m.

The driver of the Ford Ranger, Troy Horton, 36, of Battle Ground, was injured and taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, where he was treated and released. Nicholaus Melton, 35, of Washougal, who was driving the Silverado, was not injured.

The driver of the Toyota Tacoma pickup, David Marcou, 41, of Vancouver, was cited for following too closely, according to the State Patrol. He was not injured, the State Patrol said.
