Bagley Downs — Vancouver iTech Preparatory was picked as a state finalist in a national contest for public schools that have a commitment to science, technology, engineering and math, known as STEM. The STEM-focused magnet school is one of five from Washington, and the only from Clark County, to advance to the finals in Samsung’s “Solve for Tomorrow” contest. The state’s winner will be selected next month and win a $20,000 technology package, according to a press release. The national winners will be honored in April at a ceremony in Washington, D.C.
