ITHACA, N.Y. (AP) — R.J. Price scored 24 points to lead Radford to an 86-71 win over Cornell Monday night.
Javonte Green contributed 18 points, with Rashun Davis totaling 13 and Kion Brown adding 12 for the Highlanders.
Radford (4-1) hit 54.2% of its field goal attempts, making 8 of 17 3-pointers, while limiting Cornell (0-7) to 43.8% from the field.
Cornell led early when Robert Hatter hit a 3-pointer and added a field goal for a 7-6 lead, but a Green layup gave the Highlanders an 8-7 advantage at the 15:36 mark of the first period. Cornell managed to stay close until midway of the first half, but Radford pulled away until the Highlanders had a commanding 43-22 lead at the break. Cornell could never close the gap in the second period.
Devin Cherry led Cornell with 19 points. Hatter contributed 18 points with 6 assists.
