FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — The New England Patriots have released defensive lineman Marcus Forston and defensive back Justin Green.
Forston, a rookie last year, has spent most of the past two seasons on injured reserve. He played three games after being signed to the active roster on Oct. 12 and made three tackles.
Green was signed to the active roster for the first time last Saturday and played on defense and special teams in the Patriots’ 34-31 overtime win over the Denver Broncos on Sunday night. He originally signed with the Patriots on July 21, was released on Aug. 31 and was signed to the practice squad on Sept. 1.
