BLACKSBURG, Va. (AP) — Adam Smith scored 28 points to carry Virginia Tech past Radford 81-56 on Friday.

The Hokies (5-3) also got 13 points from Jarell Eddie, who has scored in double figures in all eight games this season. C.J. Barksdale added 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Virginia Tech used an 18-0 first-half run to break open the game and led by as many as 22 points in the first half. Smith scored 17 in the first 20 minutes.

Radford (4-2), which saw its four-game winning streak snapped, got 15 points from Javonte Green.
