DELAND, Fla. (AP) — Davidson’s Jack Gibbs scored 20 points and Tyler Kalinoski flirted with a triple-double, finishing with 14 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds in an 86-80 win over Stetson Saturday.

The Wildcats (2-5) erased an early seven-point deficit and took the lead on a Tom Droney layup.

Aaron Graham made a layup to pull Stetson (0-9) within three, but Davidson answered with an 8-2 run capped off by a Brian Sullivan jumper.

Willie Green hit a 3-pointer, and Raymone Andrews sank two more to make the score 85-80 with 25 seconds left, but the Hatters couldn’t pull closer.

Gibbs was 6 of 9 from the field and hit a trio of 3-pointers. Droney had 13 points and Brian Sullivan added 12.

Stetson, which opened its season with an eight-game road trip, was led by Green with 30 points on 11-of-14 shooting. Brian Pegg and Graham each had 15 for the Hatters.
