Green Bay pulls away from Tulsa 67-59

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Keifer Sykes scored 25 points and dished out nine assists as Green Bay beat Tulsa 67-59 in the third-place game at the Great Alaska Shootout Saturday night.

Rashad Smith scored 10 first-half points as Tulsa (1-6) jumped out to a 29-26 lead at the break. Green Bay (4-2) would tie the game at 38 on an Alec Brown 3-pointer with less than 14 minutes to play.

The game was close throughout, but Turner Botz drilled a 3-pointer with 2:24 left to give Green Bay a 59-54 lead with 2:24 left. Marquel Curtis would cut the lead with three with a put back, but Tulsa would get no closer.

Sykes hit all eight of his free-throw attempts in the last 1:21 to give the Phoenix the win.

Greg Mays scored 12 points while Brown added 11 for Green Bay.

Smith finished with 15 points and 12 rebounds for Tulsa.
