GREELEY, Colo. (AP) — Tevin Svihovec scored 20 points and hit two free throws with 8 seconds left as Northern Colorado finished a stunning comeback to beat Bethune-Cookman 65-60 Saturday night.

Northern Colorado (3-2) trailed by as many as 24 in the second half. The Bears ripped off a 15-2 run to cut the lead to 52-39 with 8:53 to play. Bethune-Cookman responded, scoring on four straight possessions and restoring the lead to 59-41.

Northern Colorado then ripped off a 19-1 run to bring the score to 60-59 with 1:14 left. After a few fruitless possessions, Svihovec was fouled going for a layup and hit both free throws.

The Wildcats turned the ball over on the inbounds, and Tate Unruh hit both free throws.

Tim Huskisson stole the ensuing inbounds pass, ending any hope for Bethune-Cookman.

Mikel Trapp paced the Wildcats with 20 points.

Northern Colorado held a 42-9 advantage in free-throw attempts.
