WASHINGTON (AP) — Georgetown has placed two of its women’s basketball coaches on administrative leave because of allegations of “unprofessional conduct and the use of inappropriate language.”

The university released a statement Tuesday night saying that head coach Keith Brown and assistant coach Tim Valentine are on leave while an investigation continues.

The statement from Assistant Vice President of Communications Stacy Kerr reads: “Two weeks ago, concerns were raised regarding unprofessional conduct and the use of inappropriate language in coaching the Georgetown University women’s basketball team. Georgetown takes very seriously any allegations of misconduct and the university has an established review process that carefully investigates such cases.”

Kerr said practice will continue during the investigation, run by the remaining assistant coaches.

Brown is entering his second season as the Hoyas’ head coach.
