One critically hurt in ATV crash on Larch Mountain

A man was critically injured early Saturday morning when his ATV crashed on Larch Mountain in far eastern Clark County.

The crash occurred about 3:30 a.m. near the roads L-1400 and L-1500, according to a bulletin from Fire District 3. It said the rider was driving the ATV up and down a road when he lost control and it flipped.

The rider, a man believed to be in his late 20s, was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center by North Country EMS and was in critical condition at the time.

His name was not released.

East County Fire and Rescue also responded, and the Clark County Sheriff’s Office is conducting the investigation.
