WOBURN, Mass. (AP) — The son of Red Sox broadcaster Jerry Remy is facing arraignment in Superior Court for allegedly killing his girlfriend, a charge he denied in a recent newspaper interview.

Jared Remy has already pleaded not guilty in District Court in the stabbing death of Jennifer Martel. He’s scheduled to be arraigned in Superior Court on Tuesday.

In a jailhouse interview Sunday with the Boston Herald, Remy denied killing Martel and said he still loves her.

Prosecutors say Remy stabbed Martel at their Waltham apartment on Aug. 15. Authorities have said he was covered in blood when they arrested him at the scene. The alleged attack came a day after Remy was released from custody after being accused of assaulting Martel.

After his son’s arrest, Jerry Remy announced he wouldn’t return to the broadcast booth this season.
