Alarmed Ndangerous wins Belmont feature

NEW YORK (AP) — Alarmed Ndangerous rallied from last Friday to win the $79,000 allowance feature for New York breds on the turf at Belmont Park.

Eighth in the early stages, Alarmed Ndangerous kicked home fastest of all, beating Front by a half-length for his third win in 14 starts. Jose Ortiz was aboard for trainer Linda Rice as the 4-year-old gelding ran 1 1/16 miles on the firm course in 1:41.91 as the 5-2 second choice.

Alarmed Ndangerous paid $7.30, $3.50 and $2.30. Front, the 9-5 favorite, returned $3.60 and $2.60, and Karakorum Legend paid $2.40 to show.
