ORCHARD PARK N.Y. (AP) — The Buffalo Bills have free agent Matt Flynn in for a tryout in their latest attempt to shore up an injury-depleted quarterback position.

Flynn spent Monday morning in the team’s fieldhouse working out in front of team officials.

Buffalo (2-4) could be in need of another quarterback after interim starter Thad Lewis sprained his right ankle in a 27-24 overtime loss to Cincinnati on Sunday. Lewis’ status is uncertain for Buffalo’s game at Miami (3-2) on Sunday.

Lewis was promoted off the practice squad last week to fill in for injured rookie EJ Manuel.

Flynn is out of work after being released by Oakland last week.

Undrafted rookie Jeff Tuel is the only quarterback on the Bills’ active roster. Quarterback Dennis Dixon was signed to Buffalo’s practice squad last week.
