COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — Missouri quarterback James Franklin will be out three to five weeks with a sprained right shoulder.

Coach Gary Pinkel said Monday redshirt freshman Maty Mauk will start on Saturday at home against No. 22 Florida. Pinkel said he wouldn’t change the offense to accommodate a less-experienced player.

Franklin was injured in the second half of Missouri’s victory at Georgia on Saturday

Senior cornerback E.J. Gaines, a key player on defense, is questionable this week with a strained left quadriceps.
