Nate Arriola of Skyview was voted The Columbian's high school football player of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Oct. 11.
Arriola collected 46 percent of the 3,739 votes cast by fans to beat out Michael DiGenova of Camas, who had 45 percent.
Arriola rushed for 247 yards on 33 carries and scored two touchdowns in the Storm's win over Heritage.
The other nominees were Jonathan Branson of Columbia River, Ronnie Evenden of Prairie and Bobby Jacobs of Washougal.
Nominees and the online ballot are posted at www.360preps.com each Saturday and voting continues until 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Players may be elected player of the week once per month, and no player can be nominated for the honor in consecutive weeks.
