FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) — Steve Cherundolo is likely to get a job with Hannover once the United States defender ends his playing career.

Hannover president Martin Kind tells Bild newspaper he would like Cherundolo “to stay with us after his playing career” and that “we will find a function for him.”

Kind says Cherundolo has earned a position “because he has a history with the club like no other.”

The 34-year-old American has been with Hannover nearly 15 years and has a record 300 Bundesliga games for the club. His contract runs out at the end of the season.
