So, another waste of taxpayers’ money. It will cost the county $107,000 to put nonbinding votes on the ballot so the public can give their opinions. An Oct. 13 story reported “Advisory votes get mixed reviews: Nonbinding measures on ballot will sample public opinion but carry no clout.”

How about this instead: Write a letter to the newspaper’s Opinion page. It’s free.
