Austin Stone intercepted a pass in the final minute to seal the win for the Lumberjacks in a back-and-forth battle in Longview.

Jess Krahn threw two touchdowns passes for Hockinson and rushed for a third as the Hawks led 21-14 at halftime.

But a pair of Jacob Yordy touchdown runs gave R.A. Long a 28-21 lead in the third quarter before Hockinson blocked a punt that Nicholas Lines returned for a TD to tie the game 28-28 early in the fourth quarter.

Yordy’s fourth TD run of the game put R.A. Long up 34-28 with 5:13 left.

Hockinson drove inside the R.A. Long 10 with 2:56 to go before the Lumberjacks broke up a fourth-down pass to preserve the lead.

After R.A. Long took a safety with 49 seconds to go, Hockinson got one last chance with the ball that was ended by Stone’s interception.
