Lehigh rolls over Georgetown 45-24

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) — Keith Sherman rushed for 157 yards and three touchdowns to lead Lehigh over Georgetown 45-24 in a Patriot League showdown on Saturday.

Lehigh (6-1, 1-0) also benefited from three rushing touchdowns by Sean Farrell and 299 passing yards and a touchdown by Brandon Bialkowski. Lehigh rolled up 534 total yards on Georgetown (1-6, 0-1) on the day. The win was Lehigh’s 13th straight victory over the Hoyas.

The Mountain Hawks jumped out early on first quarter touchdown runs by Farrell and Sherman and built a 38-3 halftime lead, scoring on six of their seven first-half possessions, including a 4-yard touchdown from Bialkowski to Derek Gaul with 26 seconds remaining before halftime.

The Hoyas’ Nick Campanella ran for 129 on 23 carries and two second-half touchdowns, and caught a 7-yard touchdown strike from Kyle Nolan, to make the score more respectable.
