Letter: Experience key for freeholders

The Columbian
Published: October 18, 2013, 5:00pm

The Columbian did not post endorsements for freeholder candidates. As a former freeholder, I will make suggestions because I know how difficult it will be for most when trying to select from a large group. We need those who have knowledge of how county government actually works and have proven experience to make serious decisions. Due to the recent economic/shutdown situation, we must take our votes very seriously.

My vote (in part) is for the following: Val Ogden, Marc Boldt, Judie Stanton, Garry Lucas, Pat Jollota, Temple Lentz and John Caton.

Volunteering to become a freeholder is not free — it is an arduous job requiring patience and civility.
