FOREST GROVE, Ore. (AP) — The second Forest Grove girl who was struck by a vehicle while playing in leaves has died.

The Multnomah County medical examiner’s office told The Oregonian that 11-year-old Abigail Robinson succumbed to her injuries Monday night.

Police say her step-sister, 6-year-old Anna Dieter-Eckerdt, died Sunday in the accident near their home.

The vehicle was located Monday but police made no arrest. They say it’s possible the driver didn’t realize children were in the leaves that were piled in a greenway and partially into the street.

More than 300 people attended a candlelight prayer service for the girls Monday evening in the city west of Portland.
