COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled forward Michael Chaput from their American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, Mass.
The move was announced on Saturday.
The 21-year-old Chaput has two goals and two assists in six games with Springfield this season. As a rookie last season, he had 13 goals and 19 assists in 73 games with the Falcons.
Chaput, Philadelphia’s first pick — No. 89 overall in the 2010 NHL draft — was acquired by Columbus along with Greg Moore from the Flyers for Tom Sestito on Feb. 28, 2011.
