Letter: Retain Arp on Hockinson board

The Columbian
Published: October 25, 2013, 5:00pm

Ron Arp, a successful businessman and communications professional, filled a vacant position on the Hockinson School Board, District 2, in 2008. Arp and his colleagues pursued programs to enhance classroom instruction and student experiences while tightly managing taxpayer funds. They recruited strong district leadership, improved training and staff development, modernized aging district policies and information systems, improved facilities and aggressively pursued cost-saving measures such as energy efficiency and administration overhead.

Arp has the best interests of the students and taxpayers. He does not bend to special interests who try to bully the board. He is always available by email and phone for questions or concerns.
