Letter: Topper can create healthy climate

Commenting on recent campaign materials distributed by the opposition to Alishia Topper’s candidacy for Vancouver City Council, Position 2, many agree that she is a “cute girl.” Not only that, she’s smart, business savvy, collaborative and passionate about the community where she was raised. Topper is pro-business. Good business means jobs. Jobs and successful businesses equal an economically healthy community. It’s time to elect a council member who understands what it takes to create a healthy business climate, who understands that financially healthy nonprofit organizations take some of the weight off our dependency on government to do everything for us. Alishia Topper is that person.
