STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) — Olympic champion gymnast Nastia Liukin will work as a reporter for NBC during this winter’s Sochi Games.

A dual Russian-U.S. citizen, Liukin was born in Moscow. She won the all-around gold for the United States at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing to go with four other medals.

Her father and coach, Valeri, won four gymnastics medals for the former Soviet Union at the 1988 Olympics.

Liukin has worked with NBC since the 2012 London Games. The network said Wednesday that her role would include daily features for “The Olympic Zone,” a 30-minute show for NBC affiliates.

The 24-year-old is currently enrolled at New York University.
