Sex trafficking is theme for WSUV lecture series

The 2013 Public Affairs Lecture Series at Washington State University Vancouver will focus on sex trafficking in two free events.

• 2-4 p.m. Nov. 8 in Firstenburg Student Commons: "Engage-In: Join the Fight Against Sex Trafficking." Guests will learn how to contact legislators to effect change, how sex trafficking affects Clark County and the region, and engage in civil discourse.

• 4:30-7 p.m. Nov. 14 in Dengerink Administration Building, Room 129: "Playground: The Child Sex Trade in America." A documentary following the trail of a missing girl in the U.S. will be shown. Visitors also will have an opportunity to ask questions, and meet representatives from local organizations that support sex trafficking victims and learn more about those organizations.
