The suspect was seen getting into a red Nissan SUV by a witness. The witness was also able to get a partial license plate.

A short time later patrol personnel from the Vancouver Police Department located the suspect vehicle and attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle fled and was able to elude capture. Patrol units from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle on NE Hazel Dell ave. When deputies tried to stop the vehicle it again fled the scene. During the pursuit both the suspect vehicle and the pursuing patrol car collided.
