TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Candice Wiggins scored a season-high 25 points and Riquana Williams added 22, including a pair of crucial free throws with 21.1 seconds remaining, to help the Tulsa Shock beat New York 93-88, further denting the Liberty’s playoff hopes.

New York (11-19) now trails fourth-place Indiana by three games with four games to play.

Cappie Pondexter finished with 20 points and became the 12th player in WNBA history to eclipse 5,000 career points when she hit a 3-pointer with 35.3 seconds remaining to tie the game at 86.

Courtney Paris, however, answered for Tulsa with a three-point play to give the Shock an 89-86 lead with 28.9 seconds left. Pondexter scored to make it a one-point game with 22.1 seconds remaining, but those would be the last points scored by the Liberty.
