NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Yankees have expanded their roster with September call-ups, adding infielder David Adams and three pitchers.

The Yankees promoted right-handers Dellin Betances and Brett Marshall and lefty Cesar Cabral from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. They also signed catcher J.R. Murphy and selected him from Triple-A before Sunday’s game against Baltimore.

Adams is making his fourth stint with the Yankees this season. Betances is back with the Yankees for the third time this season.

To make room on the 40-man roster, infielder Jayson Nix was transferred to the 60-day disabled list and outfielder Melky Mesa was unconditionally released.
