ASHBURN, Va. (AP) — Robert Griffin III says he’ll be “getting down on Monday night.”
Sounds like someone headed to a disco, but the Washington Redskins quarterback was making the case Wednesday that he has learned his lesson and will slide more to avoid hits in his second NFL season.
Griffin says he’s heard so much about the subject over the last eight months that it’s ingrained in his head.
Interestingly, his counterpart for the Redskins’ Monday opener against Philadelphia is Michael Vick, who says he’s just now figuring out when best to slide and get out of bounds — after 10 seasons in the league.
